The Church has always suggested three ways to tune our hearts during the time of grace
of Lent:Almsgiving, prayer, fasting (cf. Mt 6:1-6, 16-18), three treasures that can rekindle the fire of the Spirit and revive the heart of the world.
Let us take advantage of this time that has been given to us to listen to God. Let His Word inspire us. Let us ask the Spirit to set our hearts on fire, to remove what blocks us in our relationships, and to help us do our part thoroughly, with courage and determination.
Let us surrender to Him our pride, fears, disappointments, and He will give us the strength to take the first step, to make a gesture of détente and reconciliation towards a relative, a community brother, a work colleague, or a neighbour with whom we have something to mend.
Contemplating the pierced heart of Jesus, his mighty love, his thirst for us, let the grace of his forgiveness, which overwhelms everything, bath us
May the joy of the Lord be our strength! (cf. Ne 8:10)
