Extension of the “Casa della Pace” shelter house

Aim

Expanding the structure with the addition of a new wing on two floors to accommodate 70 other girls and to offer them accommodation and more space for social life in the “House of Peace”. The request to stay safe in the structure is high, that is why the expansion project was studied.

Beneficiaries

The structure was built in 2014 to host orphaned children and girls or left by families that live in dangerous areas and in refugee camps on the border with Thailand, due to protracted guerrillas between government forces and rebel groups. In the house the girls find a safe haven and the opportunity to attend school.
